About MacMillan Charolais

MacMillan Charolais began 32 years ago by Arnold and LaVerne, Neil and Lorna MacMillan. Today, Lorna and Tim continue the philosophy of raising bulls for the commercial cattle operation.  We also offer packages of replacement heifers each fall.

We run a small, but quality operation.  We strive to provide a high level of customer service.  We focus on performance.  Our herd is functional, performance driven and quiet.

We pride ourselves on repeat, loyal customers.

Cows are fertile, calve on their own, good milkers and excellent docile temperaments.

We are located 12 minutes from the Saskatoon International Airport.

Tim grew up on his family farm at Lenore, Manitoba. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (agronomy major). Lorna grew up in Saskatoon and was actively involved in the Saskatoon 4-H Beef Club, and both the Saskatchewan/Canadian Youth Associations.

Dedicated to the Charolais breed, Lorna worked for the Charolais Banner and the Canadian Charolais Association as Director of Member Services. In 2000, Tim’s job afforded them the opportunity to move back to Saskatoon at which time they purchased the farm.

In 2017, MacMillan Charolais received a 25 year member recognition award.
